When Americans think of a strong and mighty nation, our military comes to mind. That includes the Coast Guard, a pillar of domestic defense and national pride. But here we are again, witnessing another episode of what can only be described as government mismanagement threatening our safety and security. It’s like watching a slow-motion train wreck.
The Coast Guard’s Offshore Patrol Cutter program is supposed to be one of their top priorities. With a whopping $17 billion price tag, you’d think they’d have everything planned to the last detail. Instead, there’s chaos in the ranks, risking unnecessary delays and cost overruns. Why? Because someone thought it would be a smart idea to start building these cutters before the final design was complete. It’s like trying to bake a cake without knowing all the ingredients. How’s that going to turn out? A mess.
This is what happens when government bureaucrats are left to run amok. They hatch half-baked schemes without full plans and then act surprised when it all falls apart. This lack of foresight doesn’t just highlight their incompetence. It exposes a troubling disregard for taxpayer money. Liberals love to preach about accountability and responsibility, until it’s something they need to handle. Then, they conveniently look the other way.
At the heart of this disaster is perhaps a more sinister game. Could it be about pandering to globalist interests? Politics often guide decisions that should be driven by security needs. Instead of focusing on national strength, are they more worried about stepping in line with international consensus? American strength should never be up for debate or used as a bargaining chip.
The American people deserve better than bureaucratic blunders and sky-high expenditures with little to show for it. Perhaps it’s time to ask ourselves, who is really making America great, and who is standing in the way?
