Democrats are once again playing politics with our health care system. As enhanced Obamacare subsidies are set to expire, they refuse to negotiate with Republicans on the issue. They think they hold all the cards, banking on the chaos they created to strong-arm their way. It’s a classic play from their handbook: create a problem and then act as if they’re the only ones who can fix it.
These subsidies were always part of their grand plan to make Americans dependent on government handouts. The Democrats are not interested in solutions that don’t align with their vision of cradle-to-grave government support. Instead of working together to create a sustainable plan, they would rather keep dangling temporary fixes in front of us to maintain control.
Republicans have proposed alternatives, but Democrats are acting like spoiled children who refuse to share their toys. This is yet another example of liberal incompetence and hypocrisy. They claim to care about the American people, but their actions show they are more interested in scoring political points.
The left goes on about how they’re the champions of the underprivileged. Yet, here they are, gambling with our health care to boost their own standing. How democratic is it to ignore bipartisan solutions and go it alone? It sounds more dictatorial than democratic.
America deserves better than this shameful display of political gamesmanship. Why should hard-working citizens be caught in the crossfire of Democrat arrogance? The question we should all be asking is: How long will we allow these so-called leaders to play games with our lives?
