As tensions rise in the battle against drug trafficking in our own backyard, America’s Special Operations leaders are being summoned to Congress. Why is this crucial mission in the Caribbean Sea becoming the target of scrutiny and pressure in Washington? Shouldn’t we be applauding our brave men and women for their relentless fight against the tide of drugs flooding into our country?
A U.S. commander is set to explain military actions taken against suspected drug traffickers, but isn’t it odd how every time our armed forces take decisive action, liberals in Congress start ringing the alarm bells? Anyone with a shred of common sense knows that these operations are vital for protecting American citizens from the scourge of illegal drugs. But, sadly, that seems to be lost on some politicians more concerned with optics than real results.
The hypocrisy is staggering. The same people wagging their fingers at U.S. Special Operations probably won’t hesitate to criticize law enforcement for not doing enough to stop drugs on our streets. Yet, when steps are taken to cut off the supply at the source, they start hand-wringing about oversight. It’s as if there’s a vested interest in keeping America’s borders open and porous. Anyone with half a brain should ask why.
Make no mistake, this isn’t a matter of military overreach; it’s Law and Order 101. The real story here is the consistent failure of liberal ideologies that undermine our safety. While the globalists panic over optics and appease international interests, we need to maintain our unwavering commitment to defend our nation’s sovereignty and security.
Why is it so difficult to stand by our military’s efforts to put American security first? Perhaps it’s because some leaders have forgotten their oath to Americans, preferring instead to listen to echo chambers and globalists. The question isn’t why the U.S. Special Operations Commander is being summoned—it’s why Congress can’t stand alongside him and our military heroes without playing politics.
