Congress stalls while military tech lags behind Cold War era—Is our national security at risk?

The Pentagon is at a crucial crossroads. Our brave men and women in uniform—those who protect our liberty day in and day out—are stuck using outdated tech and slow-moving systems that would be more at home in the Cold War than in today’s digital age. Congress seems finally to be waking up to the reality that our military needs a tech revolution, especially when it comes to artificial intelligence and autonomous systems. But knowing Congress, there’s a real risk this won’t be more than hot air.

With enemies growing more dangerous by the day, the U.S. must act fast. Our adversaries are racing toward the future with cutting-edge tech, while the supposed leaders in D.C. drag their feet. The push for high-tech adoption should be fast-tracked, not stalled by those more interested in virtue signaling than national defense. By the time red tape is cut, it might be too late. The world won’t wait for us to get our act together.

Yet, there’s hope. It’s time to give our military all the tools it needs to stay the best in the world. Congress must prioritize our military’s tech advancement because only then can we truly ensure peace and security. Every American should demand that their representatives put America first, not tie our hands with delays and distractions.
