Doctors Indoctrinated: Is Woke Culture Overtaking Medical Schools?

In America’s increasingly woke landscape, the latest battleground is our medical schools. Imagine doctors prioritizing political ideologies over patient care—it’s happening as they push divisive racial rhetoric into healthcare. Drexel University’s medical college has turned into a factory for indoctrination, offering a training program that pushes the divisive myth that racism is imprinted on every facet of our history, from education to healthcare. This program might as well come with a Marxist handbook.

This proclaims that doctors should adopt antiracist stances in both their attitudes and behavior, focusing less on diverse patient needs and more on hopping on the DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) bandwagon. When medical students are taught to prioritize political correctness over scientific excellence, we have a serious problem. It’s raising a generation of professionals who might virtue signal more than they promote medical breakthroughs.

Even Orwell would shake his head at the language used. Students are taught to be “allies” for their “minoritized” colleagues—a term so contrived it loses any actual meaning. Instead of creating a society of individual strength and unity, this levies another layer of division.

This rhetoric goes on to claim that the concept of race is a social construct, yet somehow also the primary reason for health disparities. Borrowing from debunked sources like the 1619 Project and the works of noted racial activists, Drexel’s program distorts historical facts to fit its narrative. How ridiculous it is to imply both sides of the Civil War shared equal guilt while ignoring the Democratic roots of Jim Crow laws.

These fabricated claims that America’s wealth was built entirely on the backs of slaves while ignoring contributions from other sectors and individuals around the globe are not just unfounded—they’re dangerous. It drives a wedge in society, advances historical falsehoods, and compromises the quality of future doctors trained in this propaganda.

If we continue down this path, will our hospitals become centers for healing or for pushing an agenda? The future might boggle the mind, and not in a good way.
