Children deserve our protection. But the latest app catastrophe, dubbed as “Tinder for kids,” has lit up an alarming sign of failure among Big Tech and the bullhorn-blowing liberals desperate for more regulation. This unsafe platform, reminiscent of child predator bait, exposes kids to dangers that no app should ever allow. Yet, predictably, the left calls for more sweeping measures, screaming for Congress to step in. Just what you’d expect from those who will claim any excuse to push their suffocating overreach agenda.

Look at the mess in the U.K. Their Online Safety Bill, heralded as a way to protect kids, turned out to be a Trojan horse, expanding to clamp down on free speech for adults. It’s a liberal’s dream rulebook, intended to control the narrative and choke off voices of dissent. And now, here, similar cries grow louder as they point fingers at Big Tech, demanding Congress pass the so-called Kids Online Safety Act. They never waste a crisis, do they? We’ve seen how these government moves go—always just the starting point for greater intrusion.

There’s no denying it: this Wizz app is despicable. No one argues against shutting it down. But here’s the kicker—government action isn’t needed. If companies like Apple, Google, and Amazon can remove an app like Parler overnight—an app that didn’t sit well with their biased Silicon Valley narratives—why can’t they do the same to protect our children? The hypocrisy is telling.

Parents need to be empowered to control what their kids access. But the left prefers the government do the parenting for them. It seems all too convenient. They claim to protect kids, but the real motive is control, a familiar tune from the liberal playbook. Where they see the need, they redefine the rules for their ideological gain.
