This isn’t some harmless cultural exchange; it’s a grotesque display from a man who’s accused of leading an international cocaine cartel and flooding American streets with drugs to devastate families.
Maduro’s bizarre “artistic performances” are nothing new. Just last month, he was putting on a confusing comedy sketch involving a rotary phone, attempting to parody conversations with President Trump. Now, he’s broken out a 1980s feel-good anthem to cling to the false image of a friendly peacemaker while simultaneously threatening Venezuelans to be “ready to knock out the teeth of the American empire.” It’s wild how he can dance and smile for the cameras while ordering his thugs to prepare for war against the United States. The man is a walking contradiction—preaching peace with one hand and wielding violence with the other.
Meanwhile, in Washington, too many liberals remain embarrassingly complacent or silent about this tyrant’s antics. They cheer on diplomatic softening with regimes that have blood on their hands while ignoring the threat Maduro poses. The same globalist mouthpieces who condemned President Trump’s tough stance on Venezuela are now shocked when a rogue state openly mocks the U.S. Instead of calling out this clown show for the dangerous circus it is, they’re busy pushing narratives about “engagement” and “understanding” that only embolden dictators like Maduro.
Let’s not forget, the American government has slapped a $50 million bounty on Maduro—the man is not just some irritating singer; he’s a criminal wanted for drug trafficking on a massive scale. Despite this, he still operates with impunity, smug and defiant, as U.S. officials recently seized an oil tanker linked to illicit Iranian smuggling efforts near Venezuelan waters. The tanker’s cargo, meant for Cuba, highlights a growing alliance of anti-American regimes, all throwing a wrench in Washington’s efforts to restore democracy and stability to the region.
The question conservatives must ask is this: How much more nonsense will the world endure before America gets serious about defending itself?
