In the never-ending circus that is the Democratic Party, two clowns are battling it out for the 2028 nomination: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Gavin Newsom. The Democrats, as usual, are resorting to identity politics and empty rhetoric, presenting us with candidates who represent two sides of the same ridiculous coin. It’s almost laughable to consider that the Party of Liberal Fantasy could unite behind a figure like AOC, whose politics scream Marxism wrapped in trendy wokeness.
AOC is a darling of the progressive left, but a nightmare for anyone with a shred of common sense. Real leadership involves more than just playing victim and rallying a social media army, but this doesn’t seem to bother her followers. They’re entranced by her claims of so-called oppression and her radical policies that threaten to dismantle our very way of life. She spins a tale of victimhood to hide the fact that her policies are just as disastrous as California’s wildfires under Newsom’s watch.
Meanwhile, there’s Newsom, the slick governor of a state that’s become synonymous with dysfunction. Under his rule, California has descended into chaos, yet he fancies himself some sort of shadow president. It’s baffling how anyone could mistake political theater for genuine leadership. The media might be dazzled by his shiny ads and podcasts, but true patriots see through the facade. The crapulence of his governing might earn him a top spot on some analyst lists, but not on any chart measuring genuine success.
Then there’s Kamala Harris lurking in the wings, hoping to cast a longer shadow than the one left by her lacking vice-presidency. And let’s not forget the curious inclusion of Mayor Pete and his lofty oratory skills. If speeches could fix all, the Democrats might have had a chance. But we all know folksy words don’t build prosperity.
This race isn’t just about who can talk the loudest or manipulate identity politics to fit their narrative. It’s another reminder that the Democratic Party prizes charisma over substance and wokeness over reality. When will they realize their descent into this progressive abyss is costing them credibility on the national stage? If this is their leadership, then they plan on leading America down a dark road, and perhaps it’s time the voters take the wheel back.
