New York’s reckless and irresponsible behavior is finally catching up with its leaders. The state has been issuing commercial driver’s licenses to immigrants even if they’re not supposed to be in the country for very long. It’s a ticking time bomb, and now the federal government is firing back. Transportation Chief Sean Duffy is threatening to pull $73 million in highway funds unless New York cleans up its act. It’s about time someone held these liberals accountable for their incompetence.
For far too long, New York has acted as a sanctuary for those who want to bypass our immigration laws. By handing out licenses like candy without checking if recipients are still allowed to live and work here, the state is essentially promoting lawlessness. It’s a slap in the face to every hard-working American citizen who plays by the rules.
The liberal elite in New York seem more interested in supporting globalist agendas than ensuring the safety and security of their own roads. When will they realize that endangering American lives for the sake of pandering to illegal immigrants is unacceptable? Federal highway funds are supposed to serve American infrastructure, not prop up misguided and dangerous state policies.
It’s hypocrisy at its worst. They claim compassion and inclusivity, but what about the safety of American citizens? The sheer incompetence in New York’s system is now putting everyone on its highways at risk. Why should taxpayers foot the bill for a system that allows unauthorized individuals to operate commercial vehicles with impunity?
The bottom line is clear: look out for American interests first. If New York doesn’t shape up, those millions of dollars should be used in states willing to respect that principle. The question remains—will New York finally see the light, or will it keep dragging its citizens down a dangerous path?
