Everyday American life got another black eye when a mother from California was viciously attacked in the heart of New York City. Instead of enjoying the festive lights of the Big Apple’s legendary Macy’s, she was brutally stabbed and slashed while changing her baby’s diaper. And the “multicultural paradise” liberals dream of turned once more into a nightmare, reminding us all what happens when progressive policies run amok.
The suspect in this despicable attack? A woman recently released from a psychiatric facility that clearly failed her and, more importantly, failed the public. Thanks to the bleeding-heart left’s obsession with “rehabilitation” over safety, potentially dangerous individuals are let loose with little regard for innocent lives. It’s beyond incompetence. It’s endangering the very people the government is supposed to protect.
This violent event happened in a city that prances as a premier holiday destination, supposedly the epicenter of commerce and spectacle. With over 8 million expected visitors seeking joy and wonder this season, one can’t ignore the festering crime and chaos masquerading as diversity and modernity. Try telling that mother in the hospital bed that the system works.
As we venture through America’s great cities, trotting down busy streets and into bustling shops, let’s not forget who we have to thank for this mess. The leftists running our cities can’t sweep these horrors under the gilded rugs of their so-called utopias. When elected officials prioritize ideology over reality, we get a merry-go-round of terror and excuses instead of solutions.
When will liberal leaders wake up? Once again, average Americans pay the price—to pick up their child and a lawyer’s bill while another perp walks away with a shot at redemption. Can we really afford to pretend this is working? Or will something catastrophic have to happen before eyes finally open to see the wreckage of progressive folly?
