In a country where personal freedoms and speech are supposed to be protected, it’s remarkable how swiftly the hammer comes down when an individual dares utter a threat against the liberal elites. A man in Raleigh found himself shackled with a 27-month prison sentence. His crime? Violating the sacred circle of untouchable liberal power by making threats against the former president, Joe Biden, and a Secret Service agent. Apparently, crossing these lines will guarantee a fast track to the slammer while actual crime runs rampant on our streets.
Political leaders should be held accountable like anyone else, but instead, they are cocooned in a protective barricade, untouchable by the voices of the people they serve. When a threat is made, there’s no attempt to discern the difference between a serious danger and a reckless vent of frustration. The liberal establishment is quick to show force, showcasing their readiness to protect their own at any cost, while dismissing the everyday American’s concerns with their safety.
Let’s not forget, the real violence comes from the misguided policies of this administration that have made American streets unsafe. These so-called leaders are the ones releasing criminals and stripping law-abiding citizens of their rights under the guise of progress. But when the rubber meets the road, they’re more concerned about words spoken against their own than the crime statistics that they let deteriorate our cities.
Furthermore, it’s no surprise that the justice system, a supposed beacon of fairness, throws the book at critics of the establishment. The man from Raleigh is now a poster child for what happens when someone provokes the sanctified circle of the liberal politburo. One cannot even make an off-color comment without the full weight of the state bearing down upon them.
The real question is, where are our priorities as a nation? Should we not focus on the rampant issues eroding the fabric of our society? The priorities of our leaders are clear: protect themselves at all costs while turning a blind eye to the mess they’ve created. Is this the America we want — an elite playground guarded by laws that serve only the powerful? It’s high time we reevaluate who really deserves the full force of our justice system and who should be free to speak their mind without fearing incarceration.
