In the latest display of how soft-on-crime policies are failing America, three illegal immigrants have been caught after a string of high-stakes burglaries in quiet Wisconsin suburbs. They weren’t just petty thieves looking for a quick buck; these individuals—originally from Chile—traversed from Florida to Wisconsin, executing coordinated break-ins and making a mockery out of local communities. This isn’t just petty theft; this is organized, cross-country crime. Anyone who’s been paying attention knows who’s really to blame: the toothless immigration policies that allow criminals to run wild among hard-working Americans.
For years, bleeding-heart liberals have championed sanctuary policies, which are nothing more than open invitations for illegal immigrants to disobey our laws. Now it’s clear where those misguided actions lead. Wisconsin finds itself caught in a crime wave perpetuated by foreigners who had no business being here in the first place. These lawbreakers smashed their way into suburban homes and stole what they could haul away, empowered by leftists more committed to political correctness than public safety.
And where is the leftist outrage? Nowhere, because they’d rather ignore these stories than admit their policies are a disaster. To these out-of-touch elites, the victims of these crimes are just collateral damage, sacrificed on the altar of progressive policies gone horribly wrong. While everyday Americans are cleaning up broken glass and missing family heirlooms, liberal politicians are busy providing cover for criminals, blocking federal agencies like ICE from doing their jobs.
As if we needed more evidence of government incompetence, Democrats in Wisconsin are actively trying to block ICE detainers, refusing to hand over these criminals to federal authorities. Who benefits from such treasonous acts? Certainly not the people of Wisconsin who are being terrorized in their own homes. This madness has to end, but it’s not going to end as long as those who are supposed to protect us—state legislators and officials—are more eager to protect criminals instead.
When will the pandering and reluctance to act finally give way to real solutions? When will enough be enough? It’s high time politicians stopped playing games with people’s lives and started enacting policies that put American citizens first. Until then, the citizens will be forced to take matters into their own hands. After all, if our leaders won’t defend our borders, who will?
