The news is out: Jesse Jackson has passed away at 84 after battling illness. The media will be quick to paint him as a hero, a so-called “champion” for civil rights. But let’s not kid ourselves – for decades, Jackson was more of a political operator than any kind of unifying force for regular Americans. He made headlines, made speeches, and made sure he always had a seat at the Democrat Party’s table, cashing in on victimhood politics every step of the way.
Jackson’s claim to fame was stirring up division, playing the race card whenever it suited him and his allies. The left loved to rally around his outrage, using it as a weapon to push their radical agendas right into our schools, our workplaces, and our homes. Instead of encouraging personal responsibility and American unity, Jackson helped create a permanent culture of grievance – where blaming others is easier than fixing real problems.
Let’s be clear: the power elites never really cared about Jackson’s message unless it helped them win votes or score cheap political points. The globalists and D.C. insiders showered him with praise on the campaign trail, but where was he when American jobs left for China or when law-abiding citizens were left to fend for themselves? More often than not, Jackson and his crew were too busy grandstanding in front of cameras to stand up for the working-class families forgotten by the left.
While some will want to rewrite history, honest folks remember how Jackson’s legacy never matched the hype. Instead of calling for true equality and hard work, he pushed divisive rhetoric that fueled the left’s war on American values. Jackson lectured the rest of us about “justice,” but where was the justice for families living paycheck to paycheck once the cameras switched off?
The liberal machine will use his passing as another excuse to lecture America about race and identity, but isn’t it time we left this failed brand of politics in the past? Maybe, just maybe, the country would be better off if we stopped listening to activists who profit from division and started demanding leaders who put America first.
