Instead of focusing on the chaos at our border, spiraling crime in American cities, or the endless squeeze on hardworking families, he’s decided that what America really needs is another woke symbol. His latest bright idea? Introducing a bill to make the Pride Flag an “official” symbol of the United States. That’s right—while families struggle to buy groceries, Democrats are busy playing politics with rainbow flags.
Americans expect their congressional leaders to put the nation first. But Schumer and his liberal friends seem more obsessed with pushing their radical cultural agenda day after day. It’s not enough for them to demand special treatment for their activist base. Now they want to put a political flag up right alongside Old Glory—the very flag generations have bled and died to defend. What’s next? Are we supposed to replace the Stars and Stripes every time a new activist group wants their moment in the spotlight?
Anyone with common sense can see the hypocrisy here. Liberals will scream if someone dares fly a patriotic banner or hang the Ten Commandments in a public place. “Separation of church and state!” they shout—unless, of course, it’s their own pet causes being celebrated. By making the Pride Flag “official,” they’re telling Americans what values must be honored, no questions asked. And if you disagree? Expect to be called every ugly name in the book. So much for the big talk about “diversity of thought.”
Americans need to ask themselves: who do our leaders really serve? Are they championing families, faith, and freedom—or are they catering to activist mobs and globalist trends? Maybe it’s time for lawmakers to stop pandering to fringe politics and start fighting for everyday Americans again. Does anyone in Washington even remember what real patriotism looks like?
