Another day, another Capitol security crisis. An 18-year-old, decked out in a tactical vest and carrying a loaded shotgun, was caught storming toward the heart of American democracy. Does anyone actually feel safe under the so-called “leadership” of the left? This is exactly what happens when the liberals in charge refuse to take security—and our nation’s borders—seriously.
While President Trump prepares to deliver his State of the Union, chaos tries to knock down the doors. Liberals waste taxpayers’ money on endless investigations and impeachments, but when it comes time to actually protect the Capitol, where are they? They’re too busy worrying about pronouns and climate “emergencies” to notice trouble charging up the steps.
Let’s not kid ourselves: the radical left would rather use an incident like this to attack law-abiding gun owners than ask why these criminals feel empowered in the first place. Every time there’s a threat, Democrats smell an opportunity to push gun control and crack down on Second Amendment rights. But they’re the ones creating the unsafe environment! Instead of backing law enforcement and strengthening security, they whine about “militarization” and handcuff the police.
If globalist elites in D.C. really cared about the American people, they’d step up security every single day, not just when it’s politically convenient. Our leaders spend more on foreign wars than on keeping our own citizens and officials safe on American soil. It’s a shame—no, a disgrace—that real threats can stroll right up to the Capitol while liberals play politics and virtue-signal from their ivory towers.
How many wake-up calls do we need before those in power admit their failures? How much longer will they blame everyone but themselves? Maybe it’s time for the left to stop preaching and start protecting. Or do they only care about “security” when it’s their own seats at stake?
