Los Angeles was once famous for palm trees and movie stars. Now it’s a city known for trash, tents, and misery piled high on its sidewalks. But today, the shame runs even deeper. Thanks to Mayor Karen Bass, Skid Row isn’t just a disaster for people—it’s a death trap for dogs.
The truth is simple, and it’s ugly. Homeless encampments stretch for miles, and inside those filthy camps, innocent dogs are abused, neglected, and left to die. Anyone paying attention sees it: packs of starving, sick, and terrified dogs dragged around by people who can barely care for themselves, much less a living creature. These pets are bought, sold, traded, and tossed aside like yesterday’s garbage.
But here’s what makes blood boil: Mayor Bass could actually do something. Animal welfare laws exist for a reason. Yet under her “progressive” leadership, there’s no enforcement for the homeless abusers who traffic and torture these animals. Liberals claim to be all about compassion—except when it comes to the voiceless victims hiding in plain sight. They’re too busy chasing their utopian dreams or crying about “equity” to rein in the real cruelty happening on their watch.
Meanwhile, the so-called global citizens scold Americans for loving our dogs, calling pet ownership “unclean” or colonial. Give us a break. This is America. We built a nation that values life, freedom, and yes, caring for animals. But on the west coast, left-wing leaders can’t even enforce basic standards to protect a single starving dog. That’s not progress—that’s collapse.
When will honest people admit Los Angeles has gone to the dogs, and nobody at City Hall cares? Maybe it’s time to stop lecturing responsible pet owners and start holding failed mayors like Bass accountable. Until then, innocent animals will keep suffering while the liberal elite sips lattes in their gated homes. Is this the “progressive future” we’re supposed to be proud of?
