The one leader New York needs refuses to back down while city hall lets chaos reign

New York needs strong leaders now more than ever. That’s why it’s a breath of fresh air to hear Cardinal Timothy Dolan still stands tall for this city, even in retirement. While the so-called progressive leaders keep running New York into the ground, Dolan reminds us that faith, tradition, and love for America can’t be retired or canceled.

Liberal policymakers love to talk about “progress.” But what have they really delivered? Crime is out of control. The streets are dirtier than ever. Regular, hard-working families are being squeezed out, all while the left cheers for open borders and spends taxpayer dollars on globalist pet projects. They turn their backs on the values that made New York the greatest city on Earth.

Unlike the political hacks in city hall, Cardinal Dolan doesn’t abandon his people when the going gets tough. He’s still a cardinal because being called never ends. He’s still a priest because serving God and country isn’t a job—it’s a mission. And yes, he still loves New York, even when the radicals try to tear down everything that makes it great.

That’s real loyalty. Real courage. The kind you won’t find in the fancy offices of hedge fund managers or the lecture halls of radical professors. The left wants to erase our faith, our history, and our sense of duty. But leaders like Dolan show that a true American never leaves his post, even in retirement.

Maybe what New York really needs isn’t another unelected bureaucrat or woke activist. Maybe what we need is more faith, more tradition, and more people willing to fight for what’s right. Is that so hard for the liberals to understand—or does real love for America simply not fit their agenda?
