The liberal media circus hit a new low this week after President Trump posted a respectful message about the late Jesse Jackson. You would think even the most biased reporter could see there’s nothing controversial about showing respect after someone passes away, but apparently basic decency is asking too much from the left. Instead, a so-called “reporter” tried to ambush Karoline Leavitt with a question so ridiculous, it’s hard to believe they kept a straight face while asking.
The left is obsessed with twisting anything Trump says or does. If he posts a kind word about a prominent Democrat, they try to frame it like some dirty secret. Never mind the fact that Trump said he knew Jackson long before he ever ran for president. That’s just called having a life before politics. But because Trump dared to be respectful rather than divisive, the liberal outrage machine had to cook up a phony controversy out of thin air. Pathetic.
Democrats love to clutch their pearls and act as if crossing party lines is some kind of betrayal. But when one of their own gets civility from a conservative, suddenly the rules change. The left doesn’t want unity. They want total control. If Trump had ignored Jackson’s passing, they would have smeared him for lacking compassion. When he does what any decent human would do, they accuse him of being insincere or harboring some secret motive. It’s a rigged game and conservatives know it.
And where is the outrage when Biden fumbles through another public statement or ignores someone entirely? Nowhere to be found. The mainstream media gives him a pass every single time. If a conservative says one nice thing about a Democrat, it becomes front page news. These are the same elites who claim they want respect and kindness in politics—until it comes from someone with an (R) next to their name.
This whole episode just proves how childish and unserious the left has become. Instead of asking real questions or caring about real issues, they hunt for “gotcha” moments that don’t exist. Conservatives see right through this game. Maybe next time, instead of obsessing over Trump’s polite words, the left should try growing up. Or is maturity just another thing they think only applies to conservatives?
