California has turned its back on common sense. The state is sitting on billions of barrels of oil, yet somehow, drivers in the Golden State get their gas shipped in through the Bahamas. If that doesn’t highlight the ridiculous priorities of Sacramento’s liberal leaders, what does?
Left-wing politicians love to brag about going “green.” But all that’s done is make California’s fuel prices skyrocket. Now, they’re importing fuel from halfway around the world because they refuse to use what’s already under their feet. The Bahamas aren’t drilling for California. They’re just a stopover as tankers bring in fuel from places like South America and beyond. Meanwhile, California’s own oil just sits underground, right there in their own backyard.
Gavin Newsom and his progressive pals talk about climate justice, but their anti-oil policies mean more tankers on the ocean, more emissions, and more dependence on foreign countries. How is that helping the planet? It’s just another example of liberal hypocrisy: pretending to care about the environment while pushing policies that do the exact opposite.
Californians pay some of the highest gas prices in the country because their politicians would rather virtue signal than make smart choices. It’s the hardworking families who suffer, all so elites in Sacramento can point fingers and blame everyone but themselves. They’d rather buy imported fuel filtered through globalist middlemen than put American energy first.
At the end of the day, California’s oil isn’t better when imported through the Bahamas. It’s just more expensive, more polluting, and more proof that liberal leaders care more about looking woke than doing what’s right for their own people. If California wants to fix its fuel crisis, maybe it should stop listening to out-of-touch activists and start listening to common sense. How much longer will residents let liberal leaders make a mess of their own backyard while begging the rest of the world for a lifeline?
