America First? The Record-High Trade Deficit Tells Another Story
The news is out, and it’s not great for those of us who actually care about American jobs and real economic strength. Despite President Trump’s tough talk and bold tariffs, the U.S. just clocked in a goods trade deficit that blew right past old records—a jaw-dropping $1.24 trillion. Yes, trillion. Liberals spent years mocking Trump’s plans to stand up to China and the rest of our so-called “trading partners,” but now what do we have? America is buying more foreign products than ever, while our factories and workers get left behind.
Let’s get real: tariffs are supposed to fight back against globalist leeches. They were never meant to be a magic wand, but the idea was simple—make it harder for foreign corporations to flood our markets with cheap junk, and give Main Street businesses a fighting chance. But liberal politicians, lobbyists, and Wall Street fat cats never wanted this plan to work. They did everything to kneecap true America First policies, keeping loopholes wide open and filling the courts with globalist judges who side with foreign interests.
Not only did the borderlines get blurrier, but American businesses are paying the price—literally. Import taxes went up, and who do you think ends up footing the bill? Families and small shop owners. The suits in D.C. don’t feel it, but the middle class does. Strange how liberals are always crying about “working people,” yet they cheer for every bloated trade deal that outsources more jobs to China and Mexico. They say the tariffs didn’t work, but it’s their sabotage and cowardice that always tip the scales against Americans.
So, while President Trump tried to do something—anything—to put up a fight, he’s being undercut at every step by anti-American bureaucrats and globalist stooges. These are the same people who bow to foreign leaders and let hostile nations run circles around us in trade talks. Is it any surprise our deficit keeps exploding? They’d rather see America dependent and weak than admit a conservative had the right idea.
The sad truth is, Washington loves globalism more than patriotism. Until someone actually drains the swamp and backs Main Street—not Beijing—the American worker will keep getting sold out. How much more do we have to lose before they finally put America first for a change?
