Congress in crisis as record retirements spark chaos and expose liberal leaders fleeing accountability

It finally happened—the floodgates have burst wide open in Congress. One out of every ten lawmakers is packing up and heading home by the end of the year. That’s right, folks, the greatest wave of retirements in over thirty years. These so-called “leaders” are running away just as the nation needs real fighters in Washington. For decades, many in Congress have grown fat and lazy on their power, turning a blind eye as American values get trampled. Now they’re abandoning ship before the 2026 midterms, leaving a mess for the rest of us to clean up.

Look closely at who’s bailing. Many are liberal career politicians who’ve spent their years pushing globalist dreams and socialist policies. When it comes to tough questions about inflation, border chaos, or crime, they suddenly find their calendars wide open for “retirement.” They’re experts at pointing fingers—usually at conservatives and everyday Americans—but never seem to take responsibility when things fall apart. Instead, they run, scared of facing voters who demand real answers and results.

This record-breaking exit exposes the rot at the heart of the D.C. swamp. Incompetence and hypocrisy have been rewarded for far too long. The same politicians who lecture everyone on “doing the right thing” can’t even handle a true crisis. They would rather read from the globalist script than stand up for the U.S. They hide behind empty words and hollow promises, hoping nobody will notice as they slip out the backdoor with cushy pensions and fancy titles.

While the left celebrates “fresh blood,” Americans should not be fooled. These retirements aren’t a victory for democracy—they’re a warning sign. The system is so broken that even its longtime defenders want out. Meanwhile, border towns are overwhelmed, families can barely afford groceries, and violent crime spirals out of control in Democrat-run cities. But instead of answering for these disasters, Congress is clearing the benches and dodging accountability.

If this historic wave of retirements finally shakes up the status quo, maybe it’s what the country needs. America deserves leaders who will put our families, our freedoms, and our nation first. Not more cowards bailing when the going gets tough. Maybe the next wave of Congress will actually remember what it means to serve the people—not themselves. Or will D.C. just keep doubling down on failure?
