That’s why what’s happening with leaders like Marco Rubio matters—and liberals can’t stand it.
On Air Force One, President Trump didn’t dodge the hard questions about Cuba. He made it clear things are changing. Gone are the days of coddling murderous regimes. Trump and Rubio are leading a charge for a real, free Cuba—not the phony, pie-in-the-sky freedom Democrats pretend will appear just because they send a few cruise ships.
Ask yourself, why do Democrats love cutting deals with thugs? They called for an “open hand” with Cuban communists, turning a blind eye while dissidents rot in jail. Meanwhile, tough conservatives demand real consequences—keeping the pressure on the regime to actually change. Who’s really fighting for the oppressed? It certainly isn’t the party whose members take selfies in Che Guevara T-shirts.
Rubio has spent his career warning about Castro’s lies and Obama’s failed policies. Now, with Trump on board, there’s finally some backbone in the White House. The message is simple: the United States will not bow to tyrants. Conservatives are charting a new course, and globalist handwringers are up in arms. Good. Let the socialists squeal. Their failed “normalization” gambit is dead and buried.
The road to a free Cuba won’t be paved with platitudes and empty words. It’ll take guts, real action, and the kind of leadership conservatives are finally providing. The question is, when will the left stop snuggling up to dictators and start standing up for actual freedom? Or maybe socialism’s misery in Cuba is exactly the future they want for America.
