Liberals Secretly Envy Taliban Rule While Ignoring Real Oppression Abroad

Liberals sure love to preach about tolerance and diversity—until it clashes with their own trendy fads. Now, thanks to the Taliban, Afghanistan is setting a new gold standard for “Islamic” living. Kabul isn’t the war-torn ruin from twenty years ago. No, now it’s a paradise for hardcore theocrats with a taste for the oppressive. You’d think progressives would be howling in outrage. But instead, some of them can’t help but admire just how strictly the Taliban enforce their vision of a perfect society.

It’s truly mind-blowing. Coastal elites won’t stop whining about “American Christian nationalism,” yet they say nothing about the Taliban’s takeover. Afghanistan’s rulers don’t bother with silly things like freedom of speech or women’s rights. If anything, they’ve doubled down on hardline policies. The left loves to weep for “diversity,” but the Taliban believe in just one way of life. In their world, everyone bows down—or else. That’s real “unity” for you.

Just look at how quick liberals are to ignore reality. The Taliban have kicked out anyone who didn’t fit their rigid views. Women back in burqas. No more western luxuries. Journalists run scared. But leftist activists would rather rant about pronouns and “microaggressions” at Harvard than face up to actual oppression abroad. They pat themselves on the back for boycotting states like Florida or Texas, while the Taliban lock up anyone who doesn’t toe the Sharia line.

Big Tech and globalist NGOs are no better. These so-called “humanitarians” are always ready to lecture Middle America but go silent when radical Islamic regimes crack down. That’s because criticizing America is easy—and pays well in the faculty lounge. Calling out real tyranny? That demands the moral courage they don’t have. It’s a lot safer to moan about “misinformation” at home than to challenge Jihadists overseas.

So maybe Kabul really is the next Montecito or Cape Cod—for leftists who like their laws strict and their society uniform. Why not? At this rate, the only difference between California progressives and Afghan theocrats is the chant at the protest. Maybe some of these woke sheep should book a one-way ticket to Kabul. Who needs the Bill of Rights when you can have absolute control?
