Gavin Newsom loves the world stage. While California is falling apart, its governor is off to fancy conferences in Europe, acting like a wannabe president. He smiles for cameras in Munich and lectures other countries—but at home? He ignores the mess he helped create.
The streets in major California cities are filled with the homeless and crime is everywhere. Small businesses pack up and leave as taxes skyrocket. California’s own people are suffering, but Newsom seems more interested in impressing global elites. He talks tough in interviews overseas, but he can’t even handle the basics at home—like keeping families safe or schools open.
Liberal politicians like Newsom love to talk about “the future” and “global cooperation.” What about Californians living in fear? What about families hit by inflation caused by years of reckless, left-wing spending? Instead of facing the problems in his own backyard, Newsom jets off to play statesman.
It’s the same story with liberal leaders. They blame others, grandstand on international stages, and make big promises to people far away. But when voters look around at filthy streets, soaring rents, and busted budgets, they see the real results of progressive policies. Newsom’s priorities are completely backwards. He seems to care more about what foreign politicians think than the struggles of real Americans.
How much longer are Californians willing to put up with a governor who treats them like an inconvenience? Newsom’s time may be running out, not just with voters, but with anyone tired of failed liberal leadership. Folks are waking up. Maybe it’s time he did too.
