There is no bottom to the madness coming out of liberal-run Chicago. Now, Cook County’s top prosecutor has launched a scheme to target the very federal agents—ICE and Border Patrol—who are simply trying to do their jobs and protect American citizens. Instead of focusing on the out-of-control crime that’s making Chicago a war zone, the priority seems to be painting ICE agents as villains for doing the work the federal government—and the people—expect from them.
Under this new plan, supposed “accountability” guidelines are being put in place so state prosecutors can actually go after federal immigration officers. The stated goal? To investigate deaths, shootings, and any use of force that comes from enforcing our immigration laws. Since when did enforcing border security make you an enemy of Cook County? Guess it’s now a crime to stand between Americans and the chaos pouring over our borders, at least in the eyes of woke bureaucrats.
Let’s be clear: federal officers have specific protections when carrying out their lawful duties. Local prosecutors, of course, are well aware that it is nearly impossible—by design—to prosecute federal agents who are doing their jobs. But that doesn’t stop these left-wing lawyers from wasting time and resources trying to make a political statement against law enforcement. It’s another example of liberals bending over backwards to shield illegal immigrants and punish anyone who gets in their way.
This is the same prosecutor who smeared federal agents as “thugs” and tried to paint ICE as monsters using violence against innocent civilians. There’s never any real outrage reserved for criminal aliens who harm Americans. Instead, the so-called leaders of Chicago seem more interested in keeping their leftist activist base happy than keeping their citizens safe. They’re quick to invent stories about agents attacking children on Halloween, but silent about the families mourning loved ones killed by illegal immigrants.
The reality is simple. When President Trump was in office, illegal crossings dropped because he meant business. That’s something the progressive elitists running places like Chicago can’t stand. Their real agenda isn’t justice—it’s open borders and chaos, all while pretending they’re champions of “the law.” Maybe if Chicago’s leaders spent half as much energy rooting out real crime as they do attacking our border agents, their city wouldn’t be collapsing under its own lawlessness. At the end of the day, who’s protecting America—the men and women on the border, or these pandering politicians and their globalist buddies?
