Wesley Hunt slams Cornyn for betraying Texas on guns and the border

Wesley Hunt is shaking up the Texas political world, and it’s about time someone did. For years, Senator John Cornyn—supposedly a Republican—has cozied up to Democrats like it’s his full-time job. Hunt isn’t afraid to call it out, pointing to Cornyn’s disgraceful record on gun control and border amnesty. In Texas, those are fighting words, and Hunt knows exactly who the real enemy is: anyone waving the Democrat playbook, no matter the letter next to their name.

Let’s be honest: Texans didn’t elect Cornyn so he could cross the aisle and erode our Second Amendment rights. We didn’t send him to Washington to make deals that let illegal immigrants flood our country while Americans foot the bill. But Cornyn seems more interested in pleasing liberal elites and helping Joe Biden unravel our freedoms. Globalists and radical leftists toast every time Cornyn throws in with the big government crowd.

Hunt’s new ad doesn’t pull any punches. It exposes the ugly truth that if someone walks, talks, and votes like a Democrat, they’re a Democrat. Enough of this fake Republican nonsense. Cornyn’s gun control schemes steal power from law-abiding Texans and hand it straight to D.C. bureaucrats. His soft stance on amnesty panders to the open borders fanatics who have nothing but contempt for American workers, law enforcement, and the families suffering from illegal crime waves.

Conservatives in Texas have a choice to make. Are we going to let another so-called “Republican” sneak Democrat policies past us while pretending to have our backs? Or do we fight for a real conservative who knows what Texas stands for—faith, freedom, and a border that means something? The left can’t win here, so they send wolves in sheep’s clothing to do their dirty work. Cornyn’s record proves it.

Why settle for Democrat-lite when Texas deserves the real thing? The Republican Party is supposed to be the last firewall against socialist madness and liberal overreach. Texans deserve fighters who won’t roll over for Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi. When did standing firm for Texas values become optional? Maybe Cornyn should just switch parties and save everyone the trouble.
