Why Christian entertainment might be destroying your family values

For years, families across America have been bombarded by twisted TV shows, filthy books, and “entertainment” that trashes our values. Some Christians, sick of drowning in this toxic liberal soup, have gone all-in: they toss out every single secular movie, TV show, or story, and only let themselves—or their kids—consume what’s got a “Christian” label. On the surface, it sounds noble. After all, who wouldn’t want to shield their children from the unraveling mess cooked up by radical leftists in Hollywood?

Here’s the problem: slapping a Christian sticker on something doesn’t magically make it pure, wholesome, or true to biblical standards. The real world isn’t that simple. Just because a movie or book calls itself “Christian” doesn’t mean it can’t be shallow, lazy, or even just another way to make a buck. Do we really want to hand over our families’ hearts and minds to anybody who claims they believe, without doing any thinking of our own? That’s not discernment—it’s blind trust. Isn’t that what the left wants from us, anyway?

And let’s talk about liberal media for a second. These cultural elites love seeing conservatives fence themselves into a tiny, “safe” bubble. Why? Because when good, patriotic Americans pull away from the outside world, it’s easier for woke garbage to gobble up the culture uncontested. The globalist big shots and progressive busybodies want nothing more than for us to disappear and stay silent. That’s how we end up with drag shows for toddlers and the American flag being trashed in our own schools!

Instead of running away, maybe it’s time to fight smarter. Discernment doesn’t mean hiding. It means teaching our kids to judge everything with a clear mind, sticking to what’s good while calling out the ugly. Yes, kick the filth out of your home—but don’t swallow just anything because it comes wrapped in Christian marketing. Authentic faith takes work, effort, and a willingness to stand up to both the godless left and dishonest so-called “Christian” peddlers looking for easy money.

America’s future depends on families with backbone—people who see through liberal lies *and* shoddy, fake-Christian nonsense. So ask yourself: are we raising strong warriors for truth, or handing our kids another flavor of safe, soft indoctrination? Maybe it’s time to open our eyes and refuse to play by anyone else’s rules.
