California politicians love to scream about “helping the oppressed.” But in Los Angeles, taxpayer cash is lining the pockets of the worst kinds of radicals—anti-ICE groups who don’t just push for open borders, but actually bankroll dangerous riots and electioneering. This is the sad joke playing out in one of America’s greatest cities, where liberal leaders pour your hard-earned money into organizations like the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights, better known as CHIRLA.
Let’s be real: This isn’t charity work. This is using public money to turn L.A. into an activist playground. While honest Americans scrape by, CHIRLA happily rakes in cash from the city and the county. They claim it’s “aid for immigrants,” but the pattern tells a different story. One month, it’s COVID “outreach”—which really means a get-out-the-vote campaign pointed straight at their own base (including plenty here illegally). Next, it’s handouts after fires, and before you know it, these “nonprofits” are shoulder-to-shoulder with leftist politicians, cheering as rioters loot and vandalize Los Angeles.
Who gets burned? Law-abiding citizens, small business owners, and every parent who just wants their kid to get to school without crossing barricades. Where do Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom stand? Hand in hand with CHIRLA and their friends. Don’t forget: these groups are pumping cash and volunteers into the very politicians who keep throwing open the doors for more of the same chaos.
Hypocrisy doesn’t even begin to describe it. Liberals tell middle America to respect “the rule of law.” But in L.A., they shovel taxpayer money to groups that mock immigration laws, cover for lawbreakers, and stir up street violence. If you’re a legal citizen or a cop, apparently you don’t count. If you’re an activist with the right friends, you get the keys to the treasury.
Are Californians supposed to keep funding their own destruction? This is what happens when Democrats run unchecked: Your money goes to radicals who hate the country, not to the people who built it. If this is “social justice,” who’s looking out for regular Americans? Maybe it’s time to stop pretending liberal “compassion” is anything more than political corruption dressed up in virtue signaling.
