Yet again, we see the ugly side of so-called “tolerance” turning deadly. In Brisbane, Australia, a synagogue was left damaged after a man decided to ram a truck into the building. Police say thankfully no one was hurt, but that’s not the point. At what point did it become normal for houses of worship to be open targets? Why are the people in charge failing to protect faith communities?
The left screams about “hate crimes” and says they care deeply about minorities—unless it’s the wrong kind of minority. Liberals love to brag about their diversity, but they turn a blind eye when it’s Jewish people or Christians under attack. Where are the loud condemnations from the globalist elites who always want to tell us how to live our lives? All we get is silence or weak excuses.
Of course, officials insist there’s “no active threat.” That sounds like wishful thinking. Maybe they don’t want to admit that their own soft-on-crime policies have turned once-safe cities into playgrounds for radicals and thugs. It’s easier to downplay the seriousness instead of actually stepping up and doing something about the growing wave of hate against faith-based communities.
Let’s not forget the bigger picture. Around the world, we see anti-religious violence growing, and yet Western governments keep letting their own citizens down. They’ll waste billions on foreign handouts or pet liberal projects, but can’t seem to keep a synagogue safe for worshippers. Is preserving freedom truly that hard? Or is it just politically inconvenient for the woke crowd?
Maybe it’s time for the rest of us to demand better. If politicians can’t safeguard basic religious rights and safety, what good are they? When will the so-called leaders finally admit that their leftist policies don’t work? Maybe the real hate crime is how they keep betraying their own people.
