Washington, D.C. just got hit with a historic sewage spill, and it’s impossible not to connect the dots. The very people in charge bragged that “diversity, equity, and inclusion” was their top priority. Well, congratulations. The city is now swimming in filth—literal and political.
This is what happens when woke leaders care more about quotas and virtue-signaling than about actually doing their jobs. Instead of making sure the water system works, they spent their time on DEI programs. Did they think buzzwords would keep the pipes running? Water doesn’t care about diversity points. The real world demands competence, not empty gestures.
Liberals love to push DEI at every turn, promising it will magically fix every problem—never mind the people who actually keep things working. When a city’s own infrastructure crumbles because the focus was on ideology and not results, it’s a slap in the face to every hardworking American. Americans expect safe, clean water. Not excuses and slogans.
Yet here we are. Globalist-minded bureaucrats push their woke agenda, and regular folks pay the price—again. The DC sewage disaster is just the latest example of how liberal priorities are out of touch with reality. These leftist managers care more about their image in woke circles than about serving the people they’re supposed to protect.
Maybe it’s time to flush DEI down the drain and put real leadership back in charge. How many disasters do we need before people wake up and realize that competence—not identity politics—actually keeps our cities running?
