Democrat says no ID to vote but demands it to shovel snow the hypocrisy is jaw dropping

Democrat politicians never miss a chance to show the world just how hypocritical they can be. Zohran Mamdani, a progressive darling in New York, insists that no one should present photo ID to vote in American elections. Apparently, proving who you are when picking the next leader of the free world is just too much to ask. But hold on — if you want to shovel snow for the city and earn a decent wage, suddenly, photo ID is a must.

Let this sink in: It’s easier to cast a ballot in New York than it is to make a living shoveling snow off the sidewalk. Why? Because the left is perfectly fine with rules and requirements when it serves their political interests. The second an average citizen wants to work an honest job, out come the identification requirements. Shovelers are only hired if they can show who they are and prove their right to work — and they have to jump through more hoops than any voter ever will.

This is a slap in the face to every law-abiding American who believes in fair elections and hard work. Progressives like Mamdani scream about “voter suppression” if someone dares suggest ID at the polls. But, when it’s about city contracts and taxpayer dollars, suddenly identity and citizenship matter again. It’s bureaucratic double talk at its worst.

Let’s not even mention the money. Snow shovelers get paid $19.14 an hour, and that rate jumps to a whopping $28.71 an hour after 40 hours of work in a week. That’s a serious paycheck. But in the eyes of these leftist officials, someone needs to prove their identity before earning an honest wage. Yet when it’s time to vote, apparently, nobody needs to prove anything. This is the kind of twisted logic tearing apart trust in both our elections and our government.

Why should Americans trust any liberal politician who wants strict rules for your paycheck but none for your vote? If IDs are good enough to pick up a shovel, they’re sure as heck good enough to pick the next President. Maybe Mamdani and his friends should try shoveling the hypocrisy out of city hall before fiddling with our elections.
