Arizona Lawmakers Stand Tall for Charlie Kirk, But Will Democrat Hobbs Spit in Their Faces?
The Arizona legislature has actually done something right for once, moving a bill forward to rename Loop 202 after the late conservative powerhouse Charlie Kirk. For years, Kirk stood as a bulldog for American values, tirelessly fighting for the very freedoms Democrats are always working to chip away at. Now, with Republicans actually showing some backbone, there’s a chance to honor the man with a 78-mile stretch of pavement—a highway that thousands drive every day.
Yet, wouldn’t you know it, every Democrat lined up against it. They scrambled for excuses—their latest being a Republican senator who left the floor during a moment of silence, an absolute non-issue cooked up to avoid the plain truth: the Left will never honor a patriot allied with Donald Trump. If the highway was being named after any left-wing activist, they would have thrown a parade. But for Charlie Kirk? Not a chance.
It gets worse. Governor Katie Hobbs, the darling of Arizona’s Left, is hiding behind silence. Her office refuses to answer when asked if she’ll sign this bill. History tells us exactly what this means: she’s considering another petty veto, just to spite the conservatives who dare to fight back. And let’s not forget—she didn’t even bother to show up for Kirk’s memorial, even though the public was invited. That’s the level of pettiness we’re dealing with.
There’s more at play. Democrats are also trying to block a Turning Point license plate. Apparently, even letting conservatives put a bumper sticker on their car is a little too much free speech for the Left. But the real kicker? These same liberals whimper about “tolerance” while running interference for violent rhetoric, like the state’s own attorney general who muses about leftists going after federal agents. Suddenly, the moral high ground is a little wobbly.
If Hobbs dares to veto this highway bill, there will be political hell to pay. Grassroots conservatives are already fired up, ready to run her out of office. Will she back down, or show us—once again—that Democrats care more about culture wars than honoring the memory of a murdered American hero? The Left cannot even bring themselves to name a road after someone who died for standing up to them. Imagine what they’d do with the White House back in their clutches.
