Illinois Governor demands cash back after Supreme Court stops liberals from taxing you

It never fails—liberals always want their cake and to eat it too. Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker is up in arms, demanding money back after the Supreme Court reminded everyone that only Congress has the power to slap taxes and tariffs on Americans. Suddenly, the same folks who love using big government to pick winners and losers now want a refund. Funny how fast they care about “the rules” when it comes to their wallets.

For years, progressives like Pritzker had no problem with state overreach. They cheered as unelected bureaucrats invented new ways to take Americans’ hard-earned money. But now that the highest court in the country has called them out, Governor Pritzker is crying foul. Apparently, the Supreme Court saying Congress is in charge of taxes is a problem when it stops liberals from filling their state coffers.

This is the kind of double standard that drives regular people crazy. When Democrats think they can get away with it, they twist the law to fit their agenda. If a liberal governor was happy to slap a tariff on you for years, why should he demand that your money be sent back the second things don’t go his way? He wants the perks of power without the responsibility of following the Constitution.

It’s obvious what’s really going on here. Left-wing politicians never miss a chance to use your money for their pet projects. Now they’re pretending to be victims of some injustice because a real check on power—the Supreme Court—put them in their place. It’s about control, plain and simple. They only care about fairness when it benefits them.

America deserves leaders who respect the Constitution every single day—not just when it’s convenient. When will liberal elites learn that this country belongs to We the People, not to them and their fat-cat friends? Maybe Governor Pritzker should focus on obeying the law instead of demanding handouts from the very system he tried to game. Isn’t it about time liberals stopped acting like the rules only apply to the rest of us?
