Liberals let airports descend into chaos as TSA PreCheck and Global Entry shut down

Washington’s dysfunction has reached a new level. Thanks to more political games and budget failures, the Department of Homeland Security is about to punish American travelers for Congress’s incompetence. TSA PreCheck and Global Entry—those two programs that make airports a little less of a nightmare—will be suspended. All because liberal lawmakers can’t get their act together and pass a budget.

This didn’t have to happen. But the left would rather hold American citizens hostage than make any real effort to secure our borders or spend responsibly. Instead, they kick the can down the road, then blame everyone except themselves for the mess. Now, regular families, business travelers, and anyone who just wants to get on a plane without waiting for hours, will pay the price. The message from the D.C. elite? “You suffer so we can play politics.”

Isn’t it funny how the globalist crowd always finds money for their pet projects—foreign aid, climate deals, woke education seminars—yet when it comes to core government services, suddenly the funds dry up? Americans have seen this movie before. When liberals run things, the first services to go are the things that actually help hardworking citizens. The political class is never inconvenienced. It’s only everyday folks who get stuck dealing with the fallout.

Let’s be honest. These shutdowns happen over and over because Democrats refuse to compromise. They’d sooner let airports grind to a halt than cut a dime of their reckless spending. But now that the bureaucrats are coming for air travelers, maybe more people will finally realize just how broken this swamp really is. The left wants chaos and crisis—then they use the pain they’ve caused as an excuse for more control.

How much longer will Americans put up with this circus? Maybe it’s time Congress learned that their job is to serve the people—not themselves, not special interests, and certainly not globalists. If only our leaders fought as hard for working families as they do for their own perks, maybe flying wouldn’t feel like a punishment. Or is that just too much to ask from Washington these days?
