USA crushes woke narratives and Canada to win Olympic hockey gold and the world can’t handle it

The so-called “experts” love to mock American grit and pretend that globalism makes us all stronger. Yet, when push comes to shove, it’s American determination that snatches victory from the jaws of defeat. This week, the U.S. Men’s Hockey Team reminded the whole world what genuine patriotism looks like, crushing the overhyped Canadians and delivering a golden win at the Winter Olympics in Milan. Forty-six years to the day after the historic “Miracle on Ice,” our boys forged a new legend—without apology and without bending a knee to the woke crowd.

You’d never know it from most of the media, but this wasn’t just a hockey game. It was a battle against all the lazy narratives we’ve been fed by the left. The “global community” always treats American success as a problem to be hushed up, while anyone who dares to wave our flag is labeled “divisive.” Meanwhile, Canada—our favorite neighbor with big talk about diversity and virtue-signaling—came in favored to win. Well, guess what? American steel is worth more than empty words or social-media hashtags. Hard work still pays off in this country, no matter how much liberals beg us to apologize for it.

Every time America wins on the world stage, progressives scramble for their latest excuse. They’ll complain about the refs, the rules, or even the flag on our jerseys. It’s never acceptable for America to be bold, proud, and—heaven forbid—victorious. But while the rest of the world obsesses over their feelings, the U.S. hockey team brought home real hardware. Our athletes don’t spend their time learning to grovel. They learn to win—even when the odds are stacked and the critics are loud.

When liberal politicians tour the world, they love to apologize for America and promise to “lead from behind.” But tonight, the only thing behind was Canada’s hockey team, watching as our boys took home the gold. Maybe if more elites spent time at the rink instead of fancy conferences, they’d understand the value of a little good old-fashioned American competition. Nobody cares about your pronouns or your virtue signals when you’re outskating the world.

Once again, American excellence proves that you can’t cancel heart, hustle, or the will to win. The Olympics remind us what’s possible when we ditch the self-loathing and fight for something bigger. So here’s a thought for all the “global citizens” who doubt American greatness: If you don’t like seeing the flag raised high, maybe it’s time to stop watching the games. Or better yet, name one other country that delivers miracles on ice—year after year, generation after generation.
