Hollywood is getting ready for another round of self-congratulation this March. The 98th Oscars, set to air on ABC with Conan O’Brien at the helm, are just around the corner. For nearly a century, this so-called “biggest night” has devolved into little more than a stage for elites to pat themselves on the back and push their tired political agendas. Remember when movies were about art and entertainment, not about who can be the loudest liberal mouthpiece in a tux?
The Oscars used to mean something. They were a celebration of real talent and creativity. Today, it feels more like a competition for who can virtue signal hardest. Americans have grown weary of seeing award after award handed to films that bash traditional values and promote globalist talking points. How many families sit down anymore, eager for a show that’s more interested in preaching than in entertaining?
It gets even more insulting when you realize how out of touch these Hollywood stars have become. Cloistered away in their mansions, these so-called cultural leaders expect ordinary Americans to care what they think. They talk about “diversity” and “inclusion” while hosting their parties behind gates the average person can’t ever dream of walking through. They brag about their wokeness while raking in millions and turning a blind eye to the real issues facing this country.
And let’s not forget ABC’s role. One of America’s biggest networks, now reduced to hosting hours of Hollywood self-love, all wrapped up in O’Brien’s snarky monologues. It’s just another example of the media’s obsession with left-wing celebrities, hoping against hope that America isn’t tired of their empty speeches about climate change, gun control, and whatever other globalist fad is in fashion.
When the cameras switch on for the Oscars this year, will anyone outside the Hollywood bubble really care? Or is it all just another echo chamber of liberal egos? Maybe this year, instead of tuning in, Americans will choose to spend their evening with something that actually reflects their values—a reminder that the heartland still beats strong, far from the glitz and hypocrisy of Tinseltown.
