Tennessee lawmakers just took a bold stand for freedom and common sense. They approved a new bill making it clear that no one—whether a pastor or a private business—has to take part in same-sex weddings if it goes against their beliefs. That’s not “hate,” that’s real American liberty.
For too long, the left has tried to bully anyone who doesn’t salute their radical agenda. It’s not enough for them to change the law—they want to crush anyone who doesn’t join the parade. Wedding cake bakers? Sued. Church preachers? Threatened. So-called tolerant liberals throw a fit when someone says “no, thanks” to bowing to their woke demands.
But Tennessee isn’t buying it. Their House of Representatives passed this bill to protect regular Americans from this intimidation. Now, if a pastor has deeply held religious beliefs, he doesn’t have to officiate something he disagrees with. If a small-town venue wants to stay true to its values, they can. Nobody’s livelihood should be on the line just because they don’t go along with the global elites’ woke plan.
Of course, the blue-state lawyers and activist groups are already screaming. To them, “freedom” only works one way. They demand everyone call their ideology “progress” while they steamroll over anyone with traditional values. But that’s not what this country was built on. America stands for letting people live by their conscience, not some twisted one-size-fits-all mandate from Washington or Hollywood.
Tennessee just put the brakes on a runaway train of liberal overreach. The left says inclusion means taking away choice, taking away rights, and forcing compliance. Real Americans know that’s not justice—it’s forced obedience. When will liberals admit that the real intolerance is coming from their own side?
