There’s never a shortage of cowardice in liberal states like Texas these days. Yes, Texas! The Lone Star State—once known for its boldness—now buckles to the woke mob even on the smallest patriotic gesture. Here’s the latest example: in Austin, a county commissioner had the backbone to propose naming a piece of Farm to Market Road 969 after conservative fighter Charlie Kirk. Sounds like a simple, decent way to honor a man who stands up for American values. But even that was too much for the leftist crybabies in local government.
The moment this proposal came up, the usual liberal squad lost their minds. They pretend to be “tolerant,” but let someone mention a conservative, and suddenly they’re the most hateful bunch you’ll ever see. Rather than stand firm, this commissioner folded like a cheap lawn chair. The plan to honor Kirk was yanked off the table as if he was an outlaw, not a patriot. The message is loud and clear: In blue Austin, you can celebrate anyone—as long as they bow to the left’s radical agenda.
What hypocrisy! The left is always clamoring about representation and honoring “diverse voices,” but try to recognize a young, unapologetic conservative and watch them melt down. The double standards are staggering. Austin officials jump at every chance to slap someone like Karl Marx or Che Guevara onto a mural. But suggest a sign for a conservative American, and it’s canceled before you can blink. If that’s not proof that we’re at war for our culture, what is?
Let’s not kid ourselves. This isn’t about road signs. It’s about erasing conservative voices and rewriting what counts as “worthy” in America today. The left-wing establishment in our own backyard can’t handle the fact that someone like Charlie Kirk dares to exist, much less be honored. They’re terrified young people will see his name and start asking questions the left can’t answer.
While the cowards in Austin cave to political correctness, millions across the country are waking up to this nonsense. If we can’t even stand up for symbolic victories, how are we supposed to win real ones? Maybe the bigger question is: What will it take for conservatives to stop apologizing for loving America?
