It looks like Democrats are yet again showing their disrespect for the American people. Dozens of liberal lawmakers have decided they’re too busy for the State of the Union. They’ve got other plans, including some event out on the National Mall. Is honoring America and listening to the president really such a burden? Or is it just that Democrats only care about ceremony when it suits their radical agenda?
Let’s be clear: Republicans don’t pull this kind of stunt. When it’s time to do the job, GOP lawmakers show up. They know their duty. They put the country—not their egos—first. Meanwhile, Democrats run away, staging their own little sideshows. They seem more interested in making statements than making laws. It’s a slap in the face to voters who trusted them to represent the country.
This isn’t just childish; it’s dangerous. The State of the Union is about America, not a single party. Skipping it sends the message that liberals care more about virtue signaling than about holding our leaders accountable. It’s pure hypocrisy coming from the same crowd that lectures the rest of us about democracy and unity every chance they get.
No one should be surprised. The left is obsessed with creating division. They love to make a spectacle and play victim; meanwhile, they ignore the real problems Americans face—crime, out-of-control spending, and open borders. While Republicans work to defend the country, Democrats are outside the Capitol pouting for the cameras.
Maybe the left should look in the mirror and ask themselves: Do they still represent the American spirit, or are they just globalist showboats chasing headlines? Skipping out on the State of the Union makes it pretty clear where their priorities lie—and it’s not with you, me, or this great country.
