Texas proves the left wrong as Americans rush to take jobs they said we would never do

For years, the left has told us a fairy tale. They say Americans are too lazy or entitled to take on tough jobs. They’ve shoved the line that we need an endless stream of foreign labor—most of it illegal—because “Americans just won’t do the work.” But here’s what they never wanted us to realize: that story is falling apart, especially in places like Texas.

After President Trump cracked down on illegal immigration and started securing our southern border, liberals screamed disaster. They said crops would spoil in the fields, businesses would close, and America would grind to a halt without cheap foreign hands. Guess what? None of that happened. Recent numbers show that Americans have stepped up and taken those jobs the radical left said we’d never touch. Turns out, when you stop making it easy for companies to hire illegal workers, Americans get the work ethic the elites claim we lack.

What’s even more infuriating is that for decades, Democrats have been using this “jobs Americans won’t do” nonsense as a way to push their open-border agenda. All they care about is cheap labor for their globalist friends and new voters for their political machine. They insult hardworking Texans—working-class Americans everywhere—by pretending we’re too good or too soft to roll up our sleeves and put in an honest day’s work.

This isn’t about “compassion” for desperate migrants or “helping the economy.” It’s about power and control. The open-borders crowd wants American workers to compete with people willing to work for pennies on the dollar, all so they can keep wages low and turn our culture upside down. They use “jobs Americans won’t do” as a weapon to shame us and silence anyone who dares put America’s interests first.

Now the truth is staring them in the face. When our borders get secured, and illegal crossings drop, businesses have no choice but to start hiring the Americans they ignored. Texans are proving liberals wrong every day by showing up and doing the work. Maybe it’s time the left stopped selling us out and started believing in the American spirit—but then again, maybe the left can’t handle the truth.
