The shocking silence over murdered journalists exposes liberal hypocrisy

When a journalist like Shan Dahar is murdered in cold blood while trying to shine a light on the truth, the world should be outraged. But where is the outrage? He was gunned down right in front of a health clinic, doing his job, just trying to show the world what was happening in his own community. Yet years have passed, and justice is nowhere in sight. This is what real oppression of the press looks like, and it’s happening in Pakistan—one of those countries the left loves to defend in their endless lectures about globalism and “understanding other cultures.”

Liberals never miss a chance to pat themselves on the back for their “commitment” to press freedom. But when journalists end up dead for reporting the truth in places like Pakistan, all we hear are crickets. Not a peep from the self-appointed champions of free speech. Shan Dahar’s name should be shouted from the rooftops, but the same elites who obsess over pronouns and TikTok trends turn their backs if it doesn’t fit their globalist narrative.

This isn’t just about one reporter. It’s about the sickening double standard. America gets slammed for supposed press freedom “threats,” yet here’s real violence against reporters in countries that get endless passes from left-leaning media and politicians. American journalists whine about mean tweets, but in Pakistan, being a journalist means risking your life. Where’s the accountability from those who claim to care about the truth? Nowhere to be found.

There’s no comfort in watching the Pakistani government shrug its shoulders, either. Murder goes unsolved. Journalists are left in the dust. The message from the world’s “leaders” is loud and clear: If you’re not pushing their narrative, they won’t lift a finger to help you. Real freedom is abandoned, all while liberals and their globalist buddies pretend everything is fine if it’s not happening in America.

The hypocrisy is disgusting. If real journalists can be murdered with zero consequences, why should anyone trust the empty promises of the left? Maybe it’s time to stop pretending the United Nations and its human rights committees actually give a darn about freedom or justice. If they did, Shan Dahar’s killers would be behind bars. Maybe the question we really need to ask is: How many more brave reporters have to die before the rest of the world wakes up?
