There’s a sickness in American politics, and its name is Gavin Newsom. The California governor is obsessed with image and privilege, yet liberals trip over themselves to praise him like he’s a rock star. This is more proof that the left is more in love with identity than with substance—it’s all about who checks the “right” boxes, not who actually delivers results.
For the past two decades, we’ve seen empty suits like Newsom rise to the top—not because they have grit, brains, or principles, but because our media class worships the same fake confidence and shadowy connections. These guys get handed high-paying gigs and plum offices for “looking like a leader.” Hard-working Americans are pushed to the side while the slick, polished elites snatch every opportunity. If you’re not on board with the latest woke trend, you’re out of luck.
Meanwhile, real challenges—like collapsing cities, those so-called “sanctuary” disasters, and our wide-open borders—are left to rot. Newsom and his crowd wave their hands, spouting talking points about diversity and compassion, while the working class struggles. When things crash and burn, it’s never their fault. Blame gets shifted, excuses get made, and the mainstream media lines up to protect their chosen poster boy from accountability.
Look at Hollywood and pro sports too—how many mediocre “good old boys” get fast-tracked to the top, only to fumble when it matters most? It’s not about talent. It’s about narrative, about stroking the egos of the globalist elites who would rather see America slip into mediocrity than celebrate actual excellence. They’re more comfortable playing identity games than rolling up their sleeves and facing real problems.
This is the legacy of the left: a parade of privileged phonies who mouth the words of progress but never deliver the goods. Conservatives get called every name in the book for demanding merit over skin color or style, but ordinary Americans can see right through the charade. When will the left get tired of being conned by their own prized “white boys”? Or are they too busy sipping wine and smirking at flyover country to care?
