Top Democrat vows to chain himself to stop ICE locking up illegal immigrants

Democrats have always found new and creative ways to ignore the law and undermine American security, but this one takes the cake. Representative Pat Ryan of New York actually bragged on television that he would literally chain himself to the perimeter to stop an ICE detention facility from opening in Chester, New York. Is this what leadership looks like for the left—a grown man threatening a temper tantrum because he can’t have his way?

Let’s be crystal clear: ICE exists to detain and deport illegal aliens—people who broke our laws and in many cases, put Americans at risk. But according to Ryan and his liberal pals, these criminals deserve a red carpet, not a holding cell. Instead of helping law enforcement do its job, Ryan is choosing sides with those who disrespect our borders and our legal system.

Liberals love to posture about “democracy” and “rule of law,” but the minute it comes to enforcing the laws they don’t like, all bets are off. First it was sanctuary cities turning a blind eye to illegal immigration. Now, Democrats aren’t just ignoring ICE; they’re threatening to actually block law enforcement—physically. All while American families in border towns suffer the consequences.

Never mind the fact that communities all across this country have seen crime, chaos, and overwhelmed resources because of illegal immigration. No, Democrats are too busy staging cheap political stunts to care. Instead of protecting American citizens, they’d rather make speeches and chain themselves to fences. Maybe next they’ll lock arms with professional protesters funded by globalist elites.

Here’s the truth: what we need is real courage, not grandstanding. We need lawmakers who fight for law-abiding Americans, not for the open-borders lobby that bankrolls the Democratic Party. If Pat Ryan wants to play hero, maybe he should think about the victims of crimes committed by illegal immigrants—real people, with real families, who don’t have the luxury of protest theater.
