America just got another glaring wake-up call—and this time, it was literally on fire. A Delta plane, fresh off the runway in Savannah, had its left engine fail, sending the aircraft back to the airport and sparking a massive brush fire. Passengers sat on a ticking time bomb, all thanks to a system that’s too busy virtue-signaling to actually protect the people it’s supposed to serve.

Is it any wonder? The so-called experts at the FAA, distracted by climate change agendas and woke hiring quotas, seem to care more about appeasing the globalist elite than keeping American travelers safe. Every time something goes wrong—whether it’s a train derailing, a plane failing, or a critical infrastructure breakdown—the left’s answer is always the same: More regulation, less accountability, and, of course, a quick brush-aside of any real responsibility.

Delta Flight 1067 barely made it off the ground before disaster struck. This is exactly what happens in a country where maintenance budgets are slashed to fund pet projects, and engineers are lectured about “diversity” instead of being allowed to focus on the basics: keeping engines running and our skies safe. Instead, the left hounds these companies about reducing their “carbon footprint” while real safety issues go unresolved.

Where is the outrage from liberal politicians now? They love grandstanding at the nearest camera every time they can blame capitalism, but when it’s their own bureaucratic red tape leaving Americans in danger, suddenly it’s crickets. The left would rather send billions overseas than invest in the backbone of America’s infrastructure. Americans pay the price in chaos, fear, and—in this case—a runway inferno.

If the FAA and the airlines spent half as much time worrying about safety as they do about their public image and ESG scores, maybe we wouldn’t see flames licking at the edge of our airports. Isn’t it time we demand competence instead of empty virtue signaling? Or is the left just going to wait for an even bigger disaster before they finally wake up?
