Justice Department slams UCLA as campus chaos exposes shocking double standard on antisemitism

The elites running America’s universities have spent years preaching about “equity,” “safety,” and “inclusion.” But when it comes to Jewish and Israeli faculty facing hate and threats, their outrage magically vanishes. The Justice Department just dropped the hammer on UCLA, hauling the school into federal court for letting open antisemitism fester on campus. It’s about time someone held these leftist institutions accountable instead of giving them a free pass for their double standards.

At UCLA, pro-Hamas mobs have been allowed to run wild. Jewish professors say they’ve been screamed at in their own classrooms, forced to dodge hateful graffiti—swastikas and all—just to get to their offices. Some even switched to remote work or tiptoed around campus, afraid for their own safety, while university bosses stood by wringing their hands and doing next to nothing. Isn’t this what “zero tolerance for hate” is supposed to mean? Or does that only apply when it’s not unfashionable Jews in the crosshairs?

It gets worse. Administrators looked the other way while faculty faced months of online harassment and physical intimidation, all for daring to call out the growing sewer of anti-Jewish bigotry. Instead of shutting down the chaos, the university’s leaders played PR games, hoping this disgusting “protest” culture would just blow over. But when law and order are tossed aside to appease campus radicals, who pays the price? It’s the regular, hard-working people just trying to teach, learn, and live in peace.

Of course, after the lawsuit hit, UCLA’s leaders raced to paper over their failures. Suddenly, they’re all about diversity training and fancy new protest rules. Too little, too late. This crisis didn’t appear out of thin air—it was coddled by years of leftist policies that put “wokeness” ahead of real justice. The same universities quick to de-platform conservatives or punish “wrongthink” bend over backward to defend anti-Israel extremists while pretending to care about “inclusivity.”

The real heroes here aren’t the overpaid bureaucrats. It’s the Justice Department finally demanding answers, and a Trump administration refusing to let antisemitism go unchecked. If the people running our universities can’t even protect their own staff from hate, why do we trust them to shape the next generation? When will the left admit that their progressive “utopia” becomes a living nightmare once the mob comes for their own? Maybe it’s time to stop funding schools that hate America’s values—and start holding these so-called leaders responsible for the chaos they’ve let fester.
