Marco Rubio, now serving as Secretary of State, had to step in from halfway around the world just to acknowledge what happened. Why isn’t every Democrat denouncing this assault on American lives? Simple: The far left would rather keep cozying up to socialist regimes than defend their own citizens. They keep pretending Cuban communists are misunderstood, yet here we are—four people are dead, more wounded, and the silence from progressive politicians is deafening.
This is what happens when America loses its backbone on the world stage. For years, the left has been pushing for “open talks” and soft diplomacy with communist Cuba, and now we see the grim result. The message from Havana is clear: they don’t respect us, they don’t fear us, and they have no problem gunning down Americans. Meanwhile, the globalists in Washington wring their hands and claim diplomacy is working. How many bodies will it take before they wake up?
Cuban authorities claim the boat was some kind of criminal operation. But who takes the word of a regime famous for jailing dissidents, torturing its own people, and lying to the world? Only naive liberals will accept these excuses. The truth is, a dictatorship with a trigger finger should never be trusted—not by Americans, not by anyone.
A real leader would demand justice, not excuses. If the Biden administration keeps playing nice with anti-American thugs while our citizens bleed, they’re guilty of putting globalist politics above the safety of our people.
