Democrats have hit a new low—and America should be furious. At the State of the Union, Congressman Seth Moulton decided he would thumb his nose at every legal American and bring an illegal alien as his special guest. It gets worse: when law enforcement noticed the illegal’s presence, Moulton’s team reportedly rushed the guest away and hid him from officials. You read that right—an elected U.S. official and his staff chose to shield someone who broke our laws, helping him dodge police, all for some leftist publicity stunt.
This isn’t some minor slip-up. The facts are crystal clear: the guest in question, Marcelo Gomes daSilva, was already arrested last year by ICE after his student visa expired. He’s here illegally. Instead of facing removal like he should, now he’s being paraded around Congress and even gets protection from Democrat staffers. Since when did breaking American law become worthy of this kind of privilege?
It’s yet another example of Democrats putting the interests of lawbreakers first. Moulton and his staff didn’t just ignore the law—they actively hindered law enforcement in their duty to protect American citizens. Imagine the outrage if a Republican tried shielding a criminal at a national event. The media would be in meltdown mode. But because this fits their “open borders” agenda, the left just shrugs it off. Rules apparently don’t matter when you’re a Democrat—or an illegal immigrant who might vote their way someday.
Let’s face the hard truth: this is about more than just one congressman’s ego. It shows an anti-American attitude running straight through today’s Democrat party. They would rather stand with foreign nationals here illegally than stand with the millions of hardworking American citizens who expect our laws to actually mean something. Moulton even called the illegal immigrant a “patriot.” Does he even hear himself?
If Democrats keep getting away with this kind of behavior—helping foreign nationals evade arrest, making a mockery of our immigration system—why should any American trust that our borders, laws, or even Congress itself are safe? This is the United States of America, not a playground for left-wing activists to display their hatred for order and sovereignty. At what point do voters say: enough coddling, enough lawlessness, enough putting Americans last?
