Hospitals now doing what public schools refuse as kids fall behind in America

Things have gotten so out of hand in America’s schools that even hospitals are now stepping in to do the job our broken education system won’t. At one major hospital in Columbus, Ohio, staff are actually screening preschoolers for illiteracy. Just think about that for a second. Instead of treating bumps, bruises, and childhood illnesses, these medical professionals are now forced to check whether kids can even recognize letters. This isn’t healthcare — it’s picking up the slack for an education system sunk by generations of liberal mismanagement.

It’s a sad day when hospitals have to screen four-year-olds for literacy because our public schools can’t be bothered to do their job. Where’s all that education funding going? Surely, not into teaching kids the basics. But you can probably find a brand new diversity officer in every central office and another so-called “equity initiative” draining taxpayer dollars. Meanwhile, our kids can’t even read simple words. It’s a national disgrace, and it didn’t happen by accident.

The left’s obsession with social engineering and virtue-signaling has come at the expense of actual learning. Liberals bend over backwards to ban classic books, push their radical gender politics, and chip away at standards that once made our schools the envy of the world. Instead of phonics and memorization, we get woke nonsense and endless excuses. Now, the crisis has gotten so bad that one of the best children’s hospitals in the country is acting like the reading police.

Does anyone on the left feel the slightest bit embarrassed about this failure? Not a chance. The same people who want to run every detail of your child’s life can’t even teach them how to read. Yet, they want more power, more money, and more trust from working American families. Enough is enough.

When hospitals start doing the job of schools, it’s proof that progressivism has failed our children. Kids need a chance to learn, not empty promises or political distractions. Maybe the hospital screenings will help a few, but nothing will change until Americans wake up and demand that schools do the job taxpayers pay them to do. If liberals can’t be trusted with story time, why should we trust them with anything else?
