Democrat elites never miss a chance to insult Americans’ intelligence, but Joy Behar hit a new low this week. Outrage over the SAVE America Act is burning hotter than ever, and it’s got the Left in meltdown mode. This common sense bill would simply require proof of citizenship and voter ID for federal elections. That’s it. Yet, what does Behar think? She claims it’s really just a Republican cheat code—because, apparently, requiring Americans to show an ID suddenly amounts to “cheating.”
These are the same Democrats who never stop shouting about “saving democracy”—but when someone proposes actually securing our elections, they explode in rage. According to Behar and her pack of clapping TV seals, the only way Republicans win is by cheating. That’s a bold claim for a party that’s spent years defending weak election laws and pushing universal mail-in ballots like it’s free candy. Whenever someone mentions that non-citizens might be voting, the Left waves it off as a right-wing fantasy—but if those illegal votes ever helped Republicans, you can bet Democrats would call for photo IDs, fingerprint scans, and a background check just to cast a ballot.
It’s hilarious, really. The American people overwhelmingly support voter ID—polls show support near 90 percent, including from many Democrats. Yet the far-Left politicians block any attempt to make our elections secure. Why? Any rational person can see what’s happening. They scream “racism” or “voter suppression,” but what they’re really terrified of is losing their grip on power. The only thing being “suppressed” here is integrity.
And let’s not ignore the reality: documented cases of voter fraud exist. Dead people somehow vote. Illegal immigrants have cast ballots. Ballot harvesting runs wild in blue strongholds. The media ignores it, and Democrats call it a myth. Imagine if Republicans benefited from just a fraction of those fraudulent votes—Democrats would unleash a crackdown stricter than Fort Knox.
If the only way Democrats know how to win is by watering down checks on citizenship and ID, that’s all we need to know about their vision for America’s future. The Left doesn’t want free and fair elections—they want permanent control. Maybe it’s time for Joy Behar and her friends to ask themselves: Why are they so afraid of making sure only Americans decide America’s future?
