MLB Star Destroys Newsom for Playing the Race Card While California Crumbles—Here’s What He Said

Gavin Newsom just can’t help himself. This time, California’s governor tried to make headlines not by fixing his broken state, but by using himself as some kind of poster child for so-called “systemic racism.” While promoting his book down in Atlanta, Newsom decided it was a smart move to compare his own sad SAT scores to the struggles of black Americans. He tried to paint himself as just another victim of the system—because, apparently, gross mismanagement and bad ideas aren’t enough for his political resume.

But here’s what really happened: Tommy Pham, a seasoned Major League Baseball player, wasn’t having any of it. Unlike Newsom, Pham knows a thing or two about hard work and earning your way up in life. When he saw Newsom’s desperate attempt to play the victim card, he called it out, loud and clear. Pham’s message? Stop using other people’s real challenges as your political props.

This isn’t the first time Gavin Newsom has tried to use race to distract from his failures. His own state is dealing with soaring crime, out-of-control homelessness, and sky-high taxes. But rather than getting to work and helping Californians, Newsom runs around the country, fishing for sympathy with cheap stunts. Talking about SAT scores doesn’t fix the mess in San Francisco or Los Angeles. It just highlights how out of touch he really is.

Liberals like Newsom love to talk about race when it suits them. But they never actually do anything for struggling Americans—black, white, or anyone else. They want people divided, desperate, and dependent because it helps them stay in power. They’d rather blame the test than demand real academic standards or strong families. And when someone like Tommy Pham speaks up, suddenly liberals want to tune out the voices that don’t fit their narrative.

This is what passes for leadership in Democrat America: blaming the tests, playing the victim, and using other people’s pain as a shield. Californians and Americans everywhere deserve better than professional excuse-makers. The real question is, how many more failures, distractions, and racial games are voters willing to stomach before they demand leaders who actually solve problems?
